My new motor has four wire brown ,tan-brown,white,and black. The old purple, brown black how do I hook up the wires

Don't know but did find the above. The first is very poorly written, the second is various wiring diagrams. Appears that motor wiring is designed so that it can be used when unit has separate capacitors for fan and compressor or when unit has a duel capacitor for the fan/compressor.
