I have a Whirlpool dishwasher model GU2400 XTPS3. It is about one year old and has been used about 5-10 times (basement kitchen). The "clean light" is flashing and the book says to contact service to check heater circuit. Its not on recall.

For a piece of equipment to break after being used a handfull of times is wrong. Is this a lemon? Just bad luck with a rare malfunction? Common problem that's not bad enough to warrant recall status?

Anyone out there got any thoughts? Thanks

Sounds like it has to do with the EC board and you may need to get an experienced technician. Unless you are familiar with testing electronics it is probably beyond a simple fix.

I have the same issue on my dishwasher. Did you end up getting it serviced? Thank you :)
