First of al. I'm running Windows 7 Professional Edition 32 bit with Nortons Internet Security. All updates are current.
I have a secondary hard drive which is 465 Gb but only 360 Gb available for some reason. I cant see that anything is on this drive when looking at all my drives when I click on My Computer. When I scan this drive with Notons, I find that there are 10 files and directories scanned. It does not show me what they are
I even tried to format the drive but it won't let me format it because something is using the drive. I went to task manager and nothing shows.
3 questions! How come I can't see what is on the drive? How do I find out what is running? How do I correct this problem so I can use this drive?

Before I give you an answer, I need to know if you have downloaded anything recently on your computer
Or if you have used it on another computer
Tell me to know what to do

By the way, before you answer me I suggest you watch this video

If your machine has one physical hard drive but two drive letters, you do not have a secondary hard drive but a second partition on the one drive. It could be a partition with a factory backup on it or Norton is using it for security even if it is an actual second physical drive, Norton will prevent its formatting. To find out what's using it, try examining it with the freeware program "unlocker".

Also try showing hidden files, this could show you what the drive / partition contents are.. mos likely like Appzalien said, it's a factory partion which you cannot format easy.
