My interlock device failed this morning. I was not drinking, so my husband started the car and I figured when the rolling test came it would be fine, but it failed the rolling test and I have to bring it back to the intallation place to get another one. What will happen in the state of new Jersey? I am not on probation.

So you blew in it, it failed...then your husband blew in it and it worked....but them while driving it failed after blowing in it again?

Your question is a little unclear but if I'm reading it right, if there was something wrong with the device itself, then it probably shouldn't have started for your husband either.

I am not on probation.

So why, then, do you have an interlock device?

What is the reason, for having the device. Probation is normally the main reason for it.

If they find the device not working proper, but if your husband could do it, what was it about you, that caused the failure

This will not answer your question of "what will happen in New Jersey" but I found it an interesting read about a situation such as yours. Good luck.
