When I flush the toilet, water does not come out from around the rim - only up from the bottom We bought our house and all 3 toilets are like this.

When you take the lid off the tank and manually lift the flapper (life it by the chain if you want) and hold it up for a few seconds, the water in the tank should empty into the toilet bowl and cause the contents of the bowl flush down the drain. What happens when you do this?

Are you saying that none of your toilets have no swirl action? That none of them has water coming out of the rim? Are you putting some blue material in the tank that cleans the bowl every time you flush? Let me know, Tom
