Hello Doctor,
I had an US saying RVF uterus is enlarged with the presence of a single intra-uterine gestational sac with fetal echo seen inside. CRL measures 13 mm. EGA 7w + 4 days
Chorionic tissue is seen all around with a sub-chorionic separation measuring 15 X 3 mm.
What does this mean?
Thanks

You're pregnant. The fetus is 7.5 weeks. You'll be due in 32.5ish weeks, sometime in April I think. As for the rest, I assume it's all right.
When you got the ultrasound did the doctor explain anything to you?

At seven weeks, there isn't much to see. Think of how big a kidney bean is then you will have a good idea.

It shows that you have a tilted uterus, which is not usually a concern, and will possibly shift in the next few weeks. However, plenty of women will have no problem if it doesn't.The most common measurement for baby this early is crown to rump and your baby is measuring right on track for the estimated gestational age of 7.4. Ultrasounds around this time are pretty accurate ( usually within days) as a consistent growth pattern is seen in the early weeks.
There is a small separation in the placental tissue which again is not uncommon and usually resolves without a problem. Have you had any spotting? Sometimes you may or may not notice spotting or light bleeding and a sub-chorionic separation or pool of blood is a common cause for it.
Your doctor may do another scan in a few weeks as a possible follow up. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't explain your results. I'd give a call and ask about it.
