Trying to help a friend out and he has this extremely ancient air conditioner made by some Gibson Company. Anyway this thing is not draining water all the way like it should, when looking inside the grates on the outside... there really isn't any water there. But on the inside when you remove the front and the filter, you can see a puddle of water on the bottom edge at the front, you can hear water being sloshed around when its running and it occasionally sprays some water.
Big problem is there is no way of taking this out of the window without a massive hassle as its held in place with massive amounts of that expanding foam garbage. Im trying to understand how the water is suppose to drain from the front section to the back. Are there typically holes at the bottom of the partition and maybe it or they became clogged?

Yea, you should see water dripping when AC is running. The drain should be on the outside corner of the unit. Make sure it's not plugged up.

There is water dripping from back, but there is a divider that runs down the center of the unit and it seems as though water cannot get from the front section to the back section. Is there suppose to be some holes or something in the divider that allows condensation to run to the back section or how does this work?

Make sure the unit is slightly tilted toward the back.

Use a bucket, and a hose to siphon the water out, and inspect the pan and the drain line which may be partially clogged, or blocked.

Is your drain line visible from the pan?

Very sorry... I thought I mentioned window unit in my original post and apparently I didn't. This is an old old old Gibson window unit.

That should make unclogging your pan hole a lot easier.
