I have dead grass spots in my lawn due to my female dogs. It has a strong ammonia smell. How can I counteract the ammonia in the grass?

You really can't once it is in the soil. The only way for the grass to recover is to dig out the spot and resod. Make sure your dog has a defined area or you will always have this problem.

What do you feed your dog? That is the problem.
