Please do not judge I had an abortion on may 28th 2014 I was thirteen weeks and I was devastated that I had to do it. After the procedure I didn't bleed at all. The clinic told me to come back in two weeks. However, I had about a weeks notice and moved across the country and never made it to the appt. I thought I'd be OK. I had my first period late July and it only lasted for three days and was not at all heavy. I feel as if my abdomen is protruding more and I feel I look more pregnant than I did before however my weight has not grown and is actually less than when they weighed me at the clinic the first time. I feel pregnant still, however I no longer have health insurance. And I'm worried maybe I am psychologically doing this to myself or in some miracle I'm still pregnant with a growing child. I need help because if this were the case I would be five months pregnant or so and I need to see a doctor. If not however I don't have thousands of dollars to go to the er. Please help

There's really nothing we can do.

An abortion without bleeding? I haven't had an abortion, but I have had a D&C due to a miscarriage. The bleeding afterwards is very heavy, like a heavy period. I have never heard of anyone that had an abortion and didn't bleed afterwards.

Is it possible that they performed an abortion and you're still pregnant? It's unlikely. But, and realize this was on TV, a documentary about women over 50 having children, I have heard of a woman being pregnant with twins, having a miscarriage, a D&C, and then months later, giving birth because the twin she didn't know about, was still alive.

This would be a very rare occurrence indeed. I'm not even 100% sure it's possible. But anything is, so I've learned.

Sadly, without an ultrasound there's no way to tell you if you're still pregnant, if the abortion didn't work.

What sort of abortion did you have?

Whereabouts are you? I'm assuming the US?

Sadly I can't be a lot of help with this. I'm in Canada, the healthcare here is free, even hospital visits.

I do know that there are hospitals that take people without insurance in the US, but where, what procedures they'll do, etc, I have no idea.

There are many people from the US on this site, so I would suggest that you wait for more replies. We even have a labor and delivery nurse on this site, and she'd be able to tell you for sure if this entire scenario is even possible.

Sadly, they all work, have kids, etc. It may take some time for them to see your question and answer.

I would suggest checking back tomorrow to see if there are any more replies.

I wish I could help more.

Good luck.

It is very unlikely that you are still pregnant, but pick up a pregnancy test to try at home. You can get one in expensively at the dollar store, walmart, or most supermarkets. Or visit the health department or a pregnancy center. Often they will do a free, or low cost, pregnancy test for you.

As far as insurance, look into Medicaid as one option.
