My son got a repeated strep throats in 2013 Jan and within 1-2 months, he got the first spot of psoriasis. Doctor was treating him with Triamcinolocone and Amoxicillin . His condition got worsened and finally because of skin infection on the whole body, he had to hospitalized for a week (the whole skin went away :() . Suffered a lot. The doctors there told that Antibiotics was wrong treatment.

Anyway he was on Triamcinocolone cream + vaseline and Cyclosporene(Immune suppresent, bad medicine) for almost a year. Still it never went away completely. Even some nails were showing the patches. Blood test every 2-3 months (expensive ones). Last test showed his strepto bacteria (the one at throat) is at 30 which is at the border. Above that is infection and below is normal. Doctor was also confused on what to do.

Does anyone had experience like this? What treatment / food helped? He suffered a lot and we always feel really bad about not giving proper treatment to him.

Yes. We are seeing a Dermatologist.

The problem with bacterial infections is that they're persistent. The best, if not only way, to control them is through antibiotics. Foods will not help directly. If this doctor is confused than it might be time to check out another doctor. You might have luck with them.

This is a tricky infection because it is of a bug that is normally found on the skin. What it suggests is that there is a bacterial imbalance. The treatment with antibiotics is meant to strip away what is there so that you can repopulate with a healthy mix. Something odd is happening in the process and doesn't seem to be able to be fixed, as I said another doctor might have a clue.

Thanks. Checked and found only 2 doctors in the pediatric dermatology. One of them is his current doctor and other is also affiliated with the same hospital.

Amoxycillin was not helping at all in reducing the skin condition. I guess a different antibiotic?

Probably, there are a lot of resistant strains out there, the problem comes when you have just one or two resistrant strains. The antibiotics will wipe out the other bacteria and leave a bountiful environment for the resistant bugs. So yes, see the other doctor.
