You need to snake a likely blockage in your main drain from the toilet. Remove toilet and go out at least 100 feet. You may have to snake from the roof vent, and may be better served calling a plumber than doing it yourself.

20 feet of snake should have got him past the house clean out.

Hi Tom, I didn't know if the poster even had a cleanout, or knew where it was, nor how extensive his problem or knowledge was, or even skill. I hope he returns to clarify exactly what help he wants. Or additional information. Sometimes 25 feet is enough, sometimes its NOT.

Thank you for your valued input, and feedback as always.

Hi Tom, I didn't know if the poster even had a cleanout, or knew where it was An here we come to your problem Tal. Had you known plumbing you would have been aware that EVERY dwelling, by code. Has a clean out brought to grade 18 " off the house foundation. While you have a pretty good take on how plumbing works I think you lack "hands on" experience and general code knowledge. I don't want to bust your chops on this but I think you've stepped out of your field of expertise, cheers. Tom

You aren't busting my chops at all Tom just making public our own personal dispute. I think its disgusting and small minded, given I know YOU know full well that snaking a drain line can often be more that 25 feet. You obviously haven't had any big jobs lately, but despite your very condescending tone I have.

Now please stop hijacking this posters thread with your BS!

Cheers back at ya!

just making public our own personal dispute. I think its disgusting and small This isn't personal. It's called correction. One thing vI failed to point out when you advised pulling the toilet and running out 100 feet of snake. All well and good going out but coming back in is another story. Think about it! You're bringing back 100 feet of black greasy snake into a white tiled bathroom and rolling it back up, Plumbers know enough not to get into this mess. You're most welcome to hang out and learn but you have to leave your mod powers at home. Regards, Tom

Hey lawrencewalk,
My apologies for the chit-chat between the experts, We were out of order.
Now let's tackle your problem.
Is the toilet and the sink on the same level?
You have a partial blockage located downstream from the kitchen sink. The good news is that you won't need to pull the toilet as advised in a earlier post. This can be addressed by snaking the kitchen roof vent, Put out enough snake to reach the base and 15 more feet. Good luck, Tom
