My last period was July 5, 2014. My next period was supposed to come today August 16, 2014. Instead, it came 3 days early on the 13th. It started heavy a little then ended up light today. According to my ovulation calendar my fertile days are August 13-18. I have been very moody, tired, almost completely loss of appetite, and loss of sleep at night. Could I be pregnant?

Did you mean to say that you believe ovulation likely occurred between July 13-18?

Having unusual bleeding around the time you expect a period can sometimes be related to pregnancy, but it is also not unusual for a period to be slightly off either.

I'd see what happens over the next few weeks. If you experience possible signs of pregnancy, you could always try a pregnancy test. Otherwise, wait and see what happens when you would expect your next period.

If you are trying to become pregnant, the calendar gives you a starting place, but it would be wise to learn of ways to determine when ovulation is likely for you as not everyone falls within the norm for when ovulation is likely to occur.

I have been working with my ovulation calendar for almost two years now. It said that I will ovulate August 13-18. My period has never been off before. I have never been pregnant before either.

Your period was due August 16, and your ovulation calendar shows you were to ovulate between August 13 and 18?

What is the length of your cycle? Which ovulation calendar did you use? Very short cycles and occasional irregular ovulation can account for ovulation occurring that close to a period. There can also be concerns of being able to become pregnant when so close together.

Again, the irregular bleeding could be pregnancy related, or an off period... even if it has not happened before. Some women will on occasion have some spotting when they ovulate.

Hormones can fluctuate for various reasons, and at times it can be enough to throw off when you ovulate, which in turn is why periods on occasion may be earlier or later than normal. When someone has this happen, there has to be a first time, and it's possible that is what you have experienced.

See what happens when you would expect your next period. If you feel that pregnancy is a possibility, try a pregnancy test.

Okay this is really a continuance of my last post. I just had sex today with my partner, and afterwards, I had light, spotted bleeding when I wiped with tissue. What does this mean? Could I be pregnant?

No it doesn't mean that or anything else... ALL women spot from time to time throughout their life. Its only a huge concern if you are post menopausal.

The most common reason for spotting after sex is irritation to the cervix or vaginal wall. This can be from the sex being rougher than usual or too little lubrication. It is not a sign of pregnancy, although it can happen in pregnancy because of increased blood volume to the cervix.

If it were to happen frequently after sex, an exam would be in order to look for other possible reasons such as cervical polyps.

It's actually the first time this has happened. Before then, my period came on 3 days early. Plus I have been feeling weird lately, sick, no appetite, feeling faint, dizzy, and I have trouble sleeping. I was just try a wait it out and see what happens, if my next droid will come on. I just do think I'm pregnant cause I have been eating a lot of beef jerky lately lol.
