Hi I am 12 weeks pregnant and for the past week I have been having this horrible gut feeling that something is or could be wrong with my baby not for any reason in particular but this constant worry is stressing me out :( this is my first pregnancy I had a scan at 8weeks and baby was fine. Is it true that if the baby's heart had stopped or something major was wrong at this point that I would have miscarried?

Do you often have worry that is not founded?
There is nothing that you can do, at this point, unless you want to go back to the doctor for a check. If this worry is extreme, that would be the best thing to do.

It is not uncommon to be worried in pregnancy, especially a first pregnancy as there are so many unknowns.
Once you have seen baby's heartbeat, chance of miscarriage drops considerably. Odds drop again after the first 12 weeks. The vast majority of pregnancies will continue without incident.
Most likely if something had gone wrong you would have miscarried. So you can be assured that most likely all is well. Do share your concerns with your doctor or midwife and they will be able to offer you more reassurance along the way.
