Was it a real spatula or did it just liik like one? What do you mean by "brush?" Like a hair brush?

I guess I'm not understanding you. Yes there are different instruments used to take a sample of the cervix in order to conduct a Pap smear.

A wooden spatula is hardly hygienic. I cant imagine a doctor using a wooden spatula or a brush to take a pap smear.

I think the OP is going to try and turn this thread into a merry go round again.

Okay here goes. The spatula looks nothing like a kitchen spatula and is not wooden, it is disposable plastic.

The brush is called cytobrush, also plastic and nylon and disposable, looks nothing like a brush.

Both items can be googled, with pictures.
