I have been over 6 weeks and my moving company that picked up my belongings in Barrie, Ontario to be brought to Calgary, Alberta has repeatedly told me it is coming. Nothing happens and no one calls. What can I do? They do not seem to know where it is.

I hired a moving company to move my belongings from Barrie, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta. It has been over 6 weeks and they keep saying it is coming and someone will call and no one does. One said it would come in a day or 2 then I find out it is still sitting in a warehouse in Missisauga. This was 3 weeks ago. What can I do? The contract has no delivery date just ASAP.

How far are you from Missisauga? If it's near Calgary, I would go there and pound on some desks.

Moving companies in one place ship to other moving companies in other places. So, if the Missisauga company is the "destination" company, you may get more action if you contact them directly.

AK Calgary is in ALBERTA, too far from MISSISSAUGA which is in ONTARIO.
To the OP. Who is the moving company ? I do agree it has been too long, but reputable moving companies have depots where consignments go. Ask them which depot your belongings are in. They can track them and you are being given the run around. Get off your butt and start kicking some !

We can do nothing for you from here.

Read your contract! Is there anything in the contract about when penalties, about warranties, insurance etc? Are their consumer help organizations that you can appeal (local media?) to?

Tickle, I was aware that Calgary is in Alberta; but didn't have any idea where that other place is. Thanks.
