This motor is at least 50 years old. It has no data plate. It had been powering an equally old band saw. I built a new cabinet for the band saw, but can't figure out how to wire it back up. There are three wires coming out of the motor, which are dark blue, orange, and white. How do I wire this up to standard 15-amp circuit?

White should be neutral and the colors are either for speed or direction. Connect one color to black and watch the motor direction. If backwards, switch colors. If speed, choose whatever one is best for your application.

Does motor have a capacitor on it?
