We did this a week after I ovulated. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? I've been stressing out about it since the day I did it. I heard that stress can affect your period and I also heard that paranoia can cause pregnancy symptoms. I have been getting headaches (which aren't unusual for me) and I've also been getting backaches and stomach pains. Am I pregnant or is it stress and paranoia. Please help! I am 16 years old and this is the first sexual type thing I have done and I'm so scared. I can't go buy a pregnancy test because I don't drive and no one knows about me being worried like this. Someone please help.

I think you are just stressed. You have to have sex to get pregnant. His genitals have to come in contact with yours. This business of sperm and not peeing is crazy. If you don't know what you're doing stop doing it. At 16 you don't need to be pregnant. The only sure fire way to not get pregnant is no sex.

Well you heard wrong... really, really wrong. All he needs to be is excited... and at 16, that's guaranteed.

Um... if you are using a cell phone App or some internet callender its probibly wrong, and I highly doubt you were doing either of the only two accurate ways you could know for sure, those being medical tests, or a daily basal temp chart.

Stress can do it as well as many other things.

Also most of those so called "pregnancy symptoms" are usually related to something else... and most of them are not even unique to women, much less females of childbearing ages.


And as was said....even if you take ALL the precautions and do them all perfectly...you can still get pregnant...do ANY of them less than perfectly and you have significantly increased chances....and adults have a hard enough time doing everything right. Teenages are guaranteed to make a lot of mistakes..

And the consequences are significant.

You won't get pregnant from what you described. Your period may have been a little different from your norm, but that can happen.

Best to avoid letting yourself get into anymore sexual situations as it can be tempting to go too far even if you don't plan to. Give some careful thought to your actions and you won't have to have this worry.
