The electrician put in two ceiling fan outlets. The first one says hot on the group of wires taped together and in that box is a second set of wires. He marked the one set with an arrow that says goes to other outlet. The other set of wires is in the 2nd fan box. I have put up ceiling fans before but only a single one. Not wired together like this. Am confused? A beginner in skills

Sorry Handywoman but you are going to have to describe things a little differently.

First, was the person that put the wiring in a real electrician. Don't know of a real electrician that uses tape on a wiring connection.
Next are there any switches involved in this wiring?

Since there are several ways wiring such as this can be done, you will need to describe the wiring in terms of cables and wires.

A wire is a single wire, a cable is two or more wires in an outer covering.

Tell us the number of cables in the group marked hot, and the number and color of the wires in each cable. Do the same for the group going to the second fan box.

Are the fans going to be controlled by switches or a remote or both?
