Ok, so this girl who I dislike at work, seems to dislike me in return. When I see her once in the morning to pick up my boss's schedule, she doesn't look at me or smile. In fact, it seems to me like she is going out of her way not to look at me. Weird. But she calls me a bunch of times during the day at my work phone extension to remind me to do stuff I already know I have to do. She is annoying, and the guys are starting to talk. Why is she acting like this? And moreover, what can I do to get her to stop, and leave me alone? I have to be careful, since she is my boss's personal assistant.

So what happened to you liking her? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dating/does-coworker-like-me-romantically-797121.html

Or does the boss have two personal assistants?

What's the real story?

Good catch cat... I remember that one... I'd like to hear what's behind this as well.

I'm going to venture a guess that he didn't take our advice, tried to asker her out and was rejected....but even if its a different one....I see him ending up having to find another job in the near future, between looking for romance in the office and having trouble learning to work with people he doesn't like for any reason. Someting is going to happen to torpedo his career eventually, not if, but when.

Any of those is real bad for the "new guy" do be doing.

First why should SHE stop. I didn't see her do anything wrong. She doesn't have to smile at you, be cheery with you or go out of her way to be nice to you. She really doesn't have to do anything but her job. Which it appears she is doing.

Work isn't a social club, and between this post and lat one....I see a lot of unprofessional behaviour on your part and its eventually going to catch up to you.

You don't HAVE to like anyone...nor does anyone HAVE to like you. You are required to do what is required to do the job.

If you can't work with people who don't like you, that you don't like, or don't smile at you....you are going to have a lot of trouble at any employer.

Sorry if I'm so blunt....but this isn't high school or College...its the real world...if you can find a way to have fun while working great....but work doesn't play second fiddle to having fun in the office.

You are new at this employer and you are fixated on petty things that really don't have a place in the office. Any office. People ARE going to notice...and its going to look bad for you.
