It will all depend on your location.

Normally nothing wrong with dating, there is no real dating laws in most places. Having sex is the issue, so as long as no sex.

Do your parents know you're dating? If it's okay with them, it's fine according to the law. But that only covers dating. Sex is another issue. Depending on where you live, once she turns 18, if you're still 15, she's committing a crime. Even at 17 and 15, if you're having sex, in most places it would be illegal.

You'd need to give us more info to give you an accurate answer if you're asking about sexual contact with your girlfriend. Also, be prepared to get the safer sex lecture.

I really can't imagine why a 16/17 yr old girl would have a relationship with a 14/15 yr old boy.

But as for legalities, the other responses are correct. My thinking is that as she gets older she will be less inclined to spend time with you.

In my opinion age is nothing but a number, regardless of how anyone else may feel about the age difference between the two of you, you should be with whoever makes you happy & vice versa.

And I'll bet you are in the same age range so of course you would feel that way. That age differences matter less and less as one gets older. When you are 23 and 21, it won't matter. But when both are teenagers even a 2 year difference matters a great deal. There is a wide gap in maturity and interest at those ages, that won't exist later on.

"Arizona

The age of consent in Arizona (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona) is 18. However there exist in the legislation defenses to prosecution if the defendant is close-in-age to the "victim" or a spouse of the "victim". Note: these are not close-in-age exceptions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_in_age) but defenses in court. Arizona Revised Statute 13-1405(A) (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/01405.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS)
13-1407 (Defenses) (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/01407.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS)

B. It is a defense to a prosecution pursuant to sections 13-1404 and 13-1405 in which the victim's lack of consent is based on incapacity to consent because the victim was fifteen, sixteen or seventeen years of age if at the time the defendant engaged in the conduct constituting the offence the defendant did not know and could not reasonably have known the age of the victim.
D. It is a defense to a prosecution pursuant to section 13-1404 or 13-1405 that the person was the spouse (legally married AND cohabiting (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/01401.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS)) of the other person at the time of commission of the act...
F. It is a defense to a prosecution pursuant to section 13-1405 if the victim is fifteen, sixteen or seventeen years of age, the defendant is under nineteen years of age or attending high school and is no more than twenty-four months older than the victim and the conduct is consensual."

I understand that OP has only "dated" her, but I post the above so that he will understand the need to keep his pants on at least until he turns 18. Otherwise, the girl could get in serious trouble for "statutory rape" (aside from the so-called "defense" or "exception" described above).
