Hey everyone, need help and fast!! We live in Delaware county PA and currently on a month to month lease. Our landlord called us and said we have 60 days to move out cause they are selling the house. For awhile now we have been receiving foreclosure notifications for our landlords and people have been taking pics of the house. So we knew they were struggling with their mortgage. 60 days seems absolutely crazy, even being on a month to month lease. We are totally freaking out, we have 2 small children and just don't know what to do or think. Please if anyone can help!! Thank u.

What you do is look for another place, NOW , they only have to give you 30 days by law to evict you as you are month to month. They are being very generous with 60.

You are welcome, Unfortunately not anything to do, be thankful they are giving you two months notice. I wouldn't waste any of it. Looks like they are trying to get ready to sell it before a foreclosure takes place.

Realistically it would be a tad past 60 days with the eviction process that would have to take place before you and your stuff got put out....but best to move under your terms and timeline than at the last minute in a panic.

Yep I think your right. I guess I can't be concerned with the details and need to just move forward. Guess I was just looking for a loop-hole. Have to look at this as a blessing cause its been a terrible landlord-tenant relationship anyhow. I really appreciate it and I'll keep logging on so if you think of anything else I should know.

Yea the wife's def in a panic right now. Got to act quick n fast. The last thing I need is for us to fight over something we cannot control. Thank u

2 months should give you a plenty of time to pick and chose before committing to another place. Which is a huge advantage for you.

Well actually, not the full two months...you have to arrange to move and actually move inside that 60 days....but I think you see what I'm saying.

In PA he only has to give you 30 days so consider yourself lucky. It may seem like a short amount of time, but it should be enough. But its not like you have a choice. You are a month to month tenant and your tenancy can be terminated with sufficient notice.

You could ask for more time, but he doesn't have to grant it.
