Taking an iPad to Italy & Germany. Want to access my Google Chrome account. What do I need to know?

Make damn sure you have it fully charged BEFORE boarding a flight in either direction, or expect problems from the security checkpoints.. If you can't turn it on at any checkpoint it will be treated as a suspicious device.

Good luck finding free WiFi... its not as common as in the USA.

Does it have 3 or 4G access? If not, then you may have trouble finding WiFi hoptspots. Even if it is, you need to check with your carrier about data plans abroad. Otherwise you may come home to a very large bill. You will need an adapter for European electrical outlets.

While travelling in Germany and Italy, enjoy the trip and the scenery, and forget about your iPad access.
