Here are some Maytag manuals: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Maytag%20Refrigerators.zip

A couple of companies make icemakers for many brands of refrigerators. There are four wires that hook up to the icemaker: two for power and two for the water valve. The only connection between the icemaker and the board is the power supply, so if you will check the plug-in for the icemaker you can find out if it's getting power or not. Then you check the water valve lines and make sure you have continuity there. If the refrigerator condenser coils are dirty the freezer cannot get cold enough to let the icemaker work, so clean them with spray soap and water. I use a spray soap and then a light spray from a water hose nozzle. Make sure to clean the fan blades, too.
