My 2 1/2 daughters tonsils are huge and have been for about a month or so now. She hasn't ran a fever at all the last month or even hinted that they are bugging her. She snores really bad in her sleep and sleeps with her mouth open. I'm also pretty sure she has sleep apnea, since she will stop breathing then take a deep breath and start breathing normally again and wakes up for a few minutes whining then go right back to sleep. The last couple weeks she has also started to complain about loud noises hurting her ears. When I called my local doctors office to make an appointment with an ENT doctor they told me that she needed to be seen by one of the local doctors first and if he thought she should see the ENT he would refer her. So today when I took her in for her appointment all the doctor did was look at her throat and say "she has strep throat lets just put her on some antibiotics." He didn't even look in her nose or ears, and when I asked them to do a hearing test they completely ignored my request. I don't know what to do now I'm afraid she needs her tonsils out but need a second opinion.
