I had been getting a few symptoms of pregnancy in the past few days, Yesterday I had two sharp pains in my lower abdomen, I took a pregnancy test and there was a very very faint second line and a few hours after that I went to the toilet to find a watery blood stain and blood when I wiped it was an orangey pink colour and was a light flow. Today I took a pregnancy test in the afternoon and the line had gotten darker and much more visible, now my bleeding is much more red and I'd say a heavy flow(I suffer from extremely heavy periods) normally a day into my period my pains are quite bad whereas now I can't feel anything, I had stomach cramps earlier on today but they weren't bad atall, if you could help me out id be so grateful so worried and upset

Hi emz10111,
If you read the test result in the time stated on the pregnancy test, then you are likely pregnant. If you look at the result later than stated, which is usually within the first several minutes of taking the test, you can get what appears to be a faint positive, but it would not be accurate.
If you aren't sure, wait a few more days and try one more test, making sure to follow the directions carefully, or see your gp and ask about having a blood test done. When was your last period?
Are you normally quite regular? Have you missed a period?

No my period is dew in 4 days, I've heard people can still have regular periods during their pregnancy, I'm thinking it might be a chemical pregnancy, I've been on the internet all day trying to find answers and I think it might be a chemical pregnancy, I've still got a bit of hope

You won't have an actual period during pregnancy, but women can have some bleeding in pregnancy... particularly in early pregnancy, which can be mistaken for an off period.
It is possible that this is your period since it would only be a few days off, and that is not uncommon at all. While it may usually be experienced in the same way most cycles, it can be off now and then, including when it starts and what you experience with it.
Again, did you read the test results within the time stated on the test?
It certainly could be an early loss, but see what happens over the next few days and whether the bleeding continues as a period.

What brand test did you use? Usually they are to be read within 3-10 minutes depending on the brand, instead of after. How heavy is the "gushing"? Are you needing a pad or tampon every hour type of gushing, or just a heavy flow?

Predictor early, I'm not sure how heavy my flow is as I usually use a tampon but I normally change my super plus extra every half an hour and id say I've got medium flow at the moment probably not as heavy as usual and I'm changing my pad every hour, not that I need to just so I can see how much blood I have passed

Just looked at their site and it says to read after 5 minutes. Also, there were a number of reviews where women reported positives only to have their period start soon after. I would much rather you are just having a slightly early period, than to be experiencing an early loss. You may want to try another pregnant test, perhaps a different brand. As most women won't get a positive before a missed period, odds are greater that this is your period.
