Hi,

I joined this organization on 1-June-2013 as a Management Trainee. In my offer letter the duration of training period is 12 months, i.e. 1-June-2014. The notice period for resigning the job is 1 day.

Now, as on today I have not received my confirmation letter either by email or in person. A confirmed employee has 1 Months notice period in this company.

My questions:

1. What will be the notice period for me if I put my resignation today?
2. What if the 1 month notice period is not served ?

I have to join the other organization on 17-July-2014. Can I ask them to post-pone it? Will it be too risky for me doing that in any sense?

I need some serious and professional advice ASAP. Please help.

Since you have not been officially confirmed, I would give 2 weeks notice today.
