Prediabetes is a condition when a persons blood glucose levels are higher then normal but not high enough for a diagnosis oftype 2 diabetes. Number one advice is to learn how to read nutritional labels, sizes of portions and Timing of meals, is totally important, don't skip any meals, limit fat intake, have a fiber rich diet. Eat fresh fuits in moderation, Limit protein, reduce salt. Eat 5 servings of fruit, 6 whole grains foods per day and 2 servings of fatty fish. Your going to have to learn how to weigh food, right down to the gram. If you smoke, please quit. Stop processed foods, or fast foods. Get more exercise, walk 3-5 times a week, 30-60 minutes, Eat healthy, natural low fat foods and if your overweight, lose weight! Go to the American Diabetes Association site for added food menu choices.
