I hired a professional a/c repairman to replace the blower motor and blower wheel of my a/c unit. The parts he ordered were incorrect - he cited that it was an old model and had to take it to a manufacturer to get the right parts.
He had cut the wires of the old unit and said that the new wires are not long enough to hook into the panel so he will have to strip the new wires to hook up to the old ones. Is this a safe practice?

Many replacement motors are used with any number or plug in combinations. I just replaced the air handler motor and had to use wire nuts to splice the new wiring to the control board connections. BTW, any number of wires in your house, in Junction, outlet and wall boxes are wire nutted.
