My house was fitted with 5/8 od, 1/2 id pex. I want to install a silcock but cannot find the appropriate tee to reduce to 1/2 pex. I'm finding that the size pex I have feeding my entire house for both potable and non potable water is uncommon according to all the suppliers I have contacted. Does anyone know where o can find fittings for this size pex? Thanks.

That's strange. PEX should be PEX. All sizes should be standard. Yes, 1/2" pipe is 5/8" OD... Did you try to fit it with 1/2" fitting ? There are reduction fittings for just about every size there is... Did you try SharkBite type fittings ? If you can, read the info about the pipe printed on side of the pipe. That should tell you size, brand and name of manufacturer.

Back to you

Is it in a mobile home or manufactured home? In the past they have used CPVC and other plastic type pipes and fittings are hard to find sometimes.

Thanks Milo. I failed to include a lot of info for the sake of brevity. I have called Zurn and two others in addition to Sharkbite. With the exception of Sharkbite the others do manufacture that size pex and the appropriate fittings. However, they do not sell retail and their retailers in my area do not carry the fittings, will only special order in bulk or sell me a minimum of 100' of pex.
I'm only looking for 5' of pex and/or 1 $!@#/& fitting. Sorry, frustrated. All the prep work is done. So I will apparently be forced to pay my plumber $150 to squeeze 3 clamps on 5'of pex pipe.
Thanks guys for trying.

Glad to try to help. Sorry. Sometimes the $!@#/& dragon wins.
