I am in a court battle for a few different things, that I have posted about previously. We won't have the actual court case tell June. But the with the court case pertaining to my parents wanting grandparent visitation, they are now asking that IF they get granted time they want me to pay there legal fee's... Has any one ever heard of that before? And does any one know if the judge normally grants grandparents fee's to be paid by the parents? Just cause the parents are trying to fight what is right for the kids?

Seems to me they would have to take you back to court and sue for the legal fees.

I guess I wonder how often they actually grant other parties to pay fee's for each other in a case like this? Seems silly to me! It's like a custody battle and then trying to fight for fee's... If you want to fight the battle, you got to fork out the cost. Or that would seem only fair any way! But I'm not sure how this all works?

Its not uncommon for a plaintiff or defendant to ask for legal fees from tge loser. Its more common for the defendant.

But in this case, its iffy. It depends on the court's interpretation. If they feel that you denied the grandparents their rights so they had to sue to get them, then they could award court costs.
