I just bought a laser disc player at a yard sale, but I don't know what kind of cables I need to hook it up to my digital TV and Receiver. Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at the connectors on the back of the laser disc player. If it's an old unit (which I suspect it is) it may have three RCA type connectors for red, green and blue channels, plus another two red and white ones for audio left and right. In any event let us know what type of connectors it has, and also what types of inputs your TV has. Unfortunately many of the old style video connections that were used on equipment 20 years ago are often not available on new modern digital TVs, especially if they are the TV is relatively inexpensive.

The laser disc player was made in 1993. It does have red and white connectors for audio out. It has a yellow connector for video out, and a black for audio (mono). My TV has 5 connectors. Green, blue and red, plus white and red for audio.

That one yellow video output is an issue - few TVs these days have that type of input. I suggest that you do a search for "convert component video to RGB" and you'll see that you can get a converter for about $50.
