I have a 13 year old Hydromatic sewage pump that seems to be acting up. I contacted a plumber for a replacement. I asked if he is going to replace it with another Hydromatic pump and he said no, he says Electronics is better. I tried searching an Electronics sewage pump and cannot find that brand. Is there such a brand or am I being "taken"?

Ask your plumber if he can give you a exact replacement. I searched the net and all I can come up with a electronic pressure switch. Ask him to show you an advertisement. How well do you know this guy? Has he done worked before? Do you trust him? Back to you, Tom

Thank you for your response. I do not know him; he was referred by a local plumbing supply distributor. I will call him Monday and ask specifics. He is charging me $720 total.

Let me know what he says. If you're uneasy with his answer I would look for another plumber. Good luck, Tom

Hi Tom: I talked to the plumber this morning. Apparently with "staticy" cell phones, I misunderstood him. The pump is Glentronics. I said that brand didn't come up when I did a web search; ABS, Crane, Hydromatic, Libery, Little Giant, Zoeller, etc., but nothing on Glentronics and Zoeller is supposed to be top rated. He said he has been having problems with Zoeller lately, hence the switch to Glentronics. He told me to check the web specifically for Glentronics.

I see sump pumps but no "ejector" pumps on that website (?)
