I have been trying to find answers to what is happening, I have been 13 days late, then began spotting - this lasted a week. Then a heavy period with clots came (sorry if its graphic) does anyone know what's wrong?

This doesn't sound right to me I would get it checked out by your doc

Honey, if you were pregnant then I would say it was very likely that you miscarried, but that doesn't mean you were. You can have clots at any time because the blood can settle, especially when it is late, and create clots. Some pregnancies just don't quite take in the early stages, its perfectly normal and can happen to anyone. I would run it past your GP to be sure. I'm sorry if that wasn't the answer you were looking for and remember I am not a doctor. I have had a miscarriage myself and knew the clots were a lot bigger than usual and I was in quite a lot of pain. I also didn't spot before hand.

Not nice I'm sure. I have miscarried before, though much later & experienced the same symptoms. Miscarriages can happen from as early as the first week, sometimes without you even realising, through a period etc. Go to your GP to be sure...
