I've asked my mom and she would always dodge my questions. I've never asked anyone but my mom because I feel that if I ask anyone else, I will somehow feel embarrassed about it.

No... and even then its likely they wouldn't even know... if one of the fetuses dies during development at an early enough stage... it might end up reabsorbed, and if there wasn't a sonogram clearly indicating two before that point... it would be literally impossible to know.

If you can't ask your mother....then its really not that important to you. Because if ANYONE knows anything.....it would be her.
