When my washer finishes the wash cycle, and empties the water... it comes up in my kitchen sink and smells like rotten eggs. I have tired cleaning the washer, like this...
1 quart of bleach
Fill the empty washer with hot water, as if you're doing a large load of laundry. Add the quart of bleach, and let the full machine run for one minute to mix up the bleach with the water. Open the top of the machine and let it sit, all bleach-y and full, for an hour. At the end of the hour, shut the cover and let the machine run a complete cycle.
Did not help much. After a couple of washes it was smelling again.
I have had the sink lines and washer drain, ck's and they are not clogged.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You have a blockage downstream from the sink. Are you on city sewer or a septic tank? If you are on city sewer the solution would be to snake from the kitchen roof vent. Put out enough snake to reach the base and 15 feet more. If you are on a septic tank then there is a grease trap after the sink and before the tank. That will require a different solution. Let me know, Tom

Had both roof vents snaked.
I am on city sewer.

Guy gave up.

Thanks
