View Full Version : Bleeding 2 days after ovulation, ectopic pregnancy?

Hi all.

I have been experiencing light spotting (pinkish when wiping) since late last night, which has turned slightly more red today, but still only when wiping.

I ovulated 4 days ago, right on schedule. I have a 30 day cycle and am very regular. I am therefore on day 22 right now.

I have had 4 pregnancies but none to term. One was an ectopic (3rd pregnancy, lost 9months ago) and I had another miscarriage 3 months ago. I had implantation bleeding for 2 of these pregnancies (1st and 4th).

I never have ovulation bleeding, and from what I can tell, through Google searches, ov bleeding would have happened on the day or day following ovulation.

This month I ovulated from my right side (I can always feel the 'pop') and my ectopic was in the right tube.

I believe it's too soon to have implantation bleeding, so I am really concerned that I may be experiencing bleeding as a result of implantation in my tube.

Does anyone have any experience with spotting this early on?

Any advice/feedback will be gratefully received.

Thanks!
Simone

Wow. You're more intune with your body than most women. The problem is that random bleeding can occur during a cycle where nothing is happening. The other problem is that you're hyper vigilant because you're trying to become pregnant so anything out of the ordinary will be noticed and also be a point of concern. If you weren't trying, or weren't having sex I bet this would probably fly under your radar. Regardless the only way to really know is a ultrasound and that will not happen for a few weeks at the very least.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me. You're probably right about it being nothing, but I am rather terrified of having another ectopic, hence my nervousnous.

Time will tell...

Which is the case here unfortunately. Good luck.

I truly wish we could answer your question. Without an ultrasound there's really no way to tell you if it's another ectopic pregnancy, or if you're even pregnant.

Bleeding can happen for many reasons. Break through bleeding during ovulation, and pregnancy, miscarriage, rough sex, bladder infection, yeast infection, and the list goes on.

I would suggest that if you're concerned about this, see your doctor. It may be too early for your doctor to tell you what's going on as well, but your doctor has better tools at his/her disposal than we do online.

I wish you all the best, and send baby dust your way. Please keep us posted on how it goes. :)
