Spent the last 2 days on the comp. trying to figure out to reset a dishwasher.On My Kenmore ultrawash 665 17779990 the cancel/drain light is on. All button do NOT work to let me run a washcycle HELP Thank you from Florida

Turn off the breaker that controls the DW. Let it sit 5 minutes and flip breaker back on. See if this clears the codes.

Did that many times. NO luck THANKS

Try this:
Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash, Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash, Close the door, Start, open the door, Cancel 2x , or:
1. Press "Normal Wash" and "Heated Dry" one after each other about five times.
2. All lights on panel will light up. Wait until all lights go out and it resets itself. It will go through a test mode.
3. Press "Cancel" and set as you normally would and press Start.

"1. Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.
2. Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry,""Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
3. Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.
4. Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop the "Clean" light from blinking repeatedly."

Make sure to check any safeties such as the high-water-cutout float on the bottom of the tub and anything else suggested in the manual that could be tested with a meter if the above does not help.

Thank you for your reply.DID try everything ( again) and - nothing worked. Do NOT have heated dry button.. Cancel /drain light still on and no other buttons work. My Panel = pots pans/normal wash/watermiser/chinawash/quick rinse/waterheat/no heat dry/delay hours/start/cancel/drain.can NOT open the 3 manuals you sent me. I have Kenmore ultrawash 665 17779990 Thanks again frustrated in Florida

You could have a safety tripped, if so there is no way to reset it without fixing the problem. Look for a stuck float switch or door switch.
