I got off the birth control pill and two weeks later had unprotected sex but he did pull out. I know, still not smart. I am now approx a week late. I took two pregnancy test when I was approx 3 days late and got 2 negative results. I have been having cramps like I am going to start for days but never start.. (Sign of pregnancy). I am unsure if am late due to getting off the pill after such a long period or if I am pregnant? Is it possible to get pregnant two weeks after you get off the pill? Can getting off the pill cause your period to be delayed? And if I am delayed just from getting off the pill why am I cramping? Please help, I have never been so scared. I am too young to be a mother.

Hi Mack9966,
Yes, you can get pregnant two weeks after coming off the pill and also yes, coming off the pill can cause your cycle to be off at first.
The cramping could be due to a number of possibilities, such as a period about to start, ovulation, pregnancy, change in hormones, etc.
Give it another week, and if still no period, take another pregnancy test. If negative, then see what happens when your next period would be due. You could always see your doctor for a pregnancy test there instead.
Obviously, be sure protection is used from now on, but keep in mind that nothing is 100% effective, so the only way to prevent a possible pregnancy if you are too young to be a mother would be to not have sex until you are ready should it happen even unexpectedly.
