My son is 4 days old and has been coughing and making wheezing sounds. He is starting to get bothered by it at night because he is crying so much and can't sleep as well. We are currently feeding him and he doesn't seemed bothered. But shortly after he seems to start back up. Is this normal and can he wait to be seen until his appointment Monday morning ? Or is this serious.

With a baby this young you need to call his doctor. It could be something minor, such as still ridding himself of excess fluid or an irritation, but that is usually not a consistent event and shouldn't be bothering his sleep. Call now, and your doctor may very well want you to take him in to be seen right away.
