Ok so I am a 16 year old with testicular cancer and its spread to my lymphnodes.. I've already done a thing of chemo and there is still a tumor growing in my lymphnodes.. Now my doctors are all for having the tumor taken out but the tumor is overtop some very big blood vessela and I have talked to doctors and nurses and they all say I shouldn't go with that surgery just because its so invasive and I'm so young.. They have all told me I have other options besides this surgery like microsurgery and robotic surgery since its so close to those important blood vessels.. Are these surgeries an option for me ? And if so where can I get more information on these types of surgery is there a number or something that I can call or contact to have all my questions answered ? I just feel like my doctors are holding back from me and just throwing me at the first option that's most common when my cancer/cancer battle has been ANYTHING but ordinary or common smh I just want to take matters into my own hands and get my own information and pick what I want to do I'm done letting my doctors make all the choices its time I took control of my cancer treatments .
