I ran out of the pill (I take it for pcos and period regulation rather than birth control) about two weeks ago but I've been too busy to go get my prescription, I've just finished university so there's a lot for me to do and I just don't have the time to spare to go all the way to my university doctor to ask for the prescription and then travel all the way to the chemist to get it so I was going to wait until I moved back home to use the doctors there.
However my mood has dropped like a lead balloon, I feel bad, guilty, angry, mopey, tired, and basically the whole negative spectrum of emotion. I sobbed my heart out the other day and today I just feel like all the world's problems are my fault and I should probably just not leave my room for a few days. So is there a way to get my mood back up while I wait a week to get my pill?
I found that drinking, even if it's only a bit (like 3 1/2 pints of lager) makes it immensely worse the next few days so I'm cutting that out but I'm hoping there's something else I can do because my friends are starting to get annoyed at my bad mood and so am I.

If you had a regime of meditation it would probably help. Do you?

Basically mind over matter, but you should have made the effort to get your meds. Now you know what to expect if you run out next time.

Exercise can be a great mood booster. It is well known for helping with depression and anxiety for most people. Start going for daily walks. Go out and dance at some clubs with your friends. Visit some sites that require you to walk around. Visit a local pool to swim.
