I have been on Parole now for the last 3 years. I was suppose to come off last year and then old fines that I had originally told my po that I had were never found in the system until the day I was to come off parole. Since then I was told that my parole would be extended until I got those fines paid off. Due to some money issues I had called the clerks office to see when my next payment was to be expected and she told me that I was actually paid up until June 2014 when I called it was in November. Now it is may 30th and I get a call from my Po's secretary telling me that she just got a call stating that I had not made a payment since Oct. and this was going to be an issue, I told her that I mail my payment for June out the begging of May and she did not believe me because I am guessing they do not have record of it but I do have the receipt where I purchased the money order. With me being paid up I thought that I was OK and didn't have to make another payment until June. Can she violate me??

You didn't send cash in an envelope, nobody is foolish enough to do that... so you must have a canceled check or something that can be tracked to prove it was cashed... don't you?

OP states she sent a money order. She has a copy; so that is her proof. It will have the payee on it. It can be traced.

Begging does not help. Providing them with copies of proof will

I lost the money order receipt but I have to store receipt from the place I got the money order from, my biggest thing is this though, how can I be told that I was paid up until June and then they want to tell me I had not made a payment since Oct.?

First rule involving any important business... if they didn't put it in writing...the assumption is it was never said and its going to be very hard to prove they did. If its your word against theirs, who do you think they are going to believe.

Go to the store, see if they can get a money order number from your receipt... if they can... find out if they can determine if its been redeemed / cashed. Then you present that. But keep them all in a special folder that has EVERYTHING dealing with our case. Don't treat it casually becaue your freedom depends on it.

You should also have maintained your own records all along of exactly what was paid.....(all the specifics on that as well) and exactly when so totals can bee seen at a glance.

If they can't get a specific money order number for your receipt they can track... then you are in deep trouble. Because you can't prove then it was bought for them or sent to them... in that case it could have been destined to almost anyone for almost any purpose.
