Last month my cycle came on twice and I had sex on mother's day. 1 week later started feeling nauseous, tired, breast tender sometimes. I took a pregnancy test, it was positive but my cycle has come on could you get a false positive.

False positives are very rare, but they can happen.

The sore breasts and nausea a week after having sex is not conducive with pregnancy. A week later you wouldn't even be pregnant yet, at least not to where you'd feel symptoms.

If you are bleeding it's possible that you're having breakthrough bleeding, or miscarrying.

I'd get a blood test to confirm. If it's negative, wait and see what happens with your next cycle.

Agree, if you tested one week after sex, it could not show positive from that sexual encounter. And those feelings a week after sex has no bearing either.

A better timeline could help. Is this period normal, or lighter ?

Twice in April? When your cycle came on the second time, was it the same as the first? Was it the same as a normal period for you? Was sex on Mother's Day the only sex you've had in the last several weeks?

Depending on the situation, maybe you were already pregnant before Mother's Day, or if you took the test recently it could very well be positive from the sex on Mother's Day.

As was said, rare to get a false positive if testing was done correctly. Either way, you would need to see your doctor for confirmation.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm betting this pregnancy, if the test wasn't a false positive, was likely before the sex on mothers day. That would explain the nausea etc. a week later, because OP was further along than she thought.

A lot of women bleed during pregnancy and mistake it for a period. The fact that the OP bled twice in one month, leads me to believe this is a pregnancy, and she's experiencing bleeding. That's something that needs to be discussed with a doctor asap.

But that's just a guess. Sadly no one online can diagnose pregnancy, or issues with pregnancy. Seeing a doctor about this is the OP's best bet in my opinion.
