I took yet ANOTHER test this morning. I used the clear blue easy +/- brand. My results were a - with a several dots moving in the opposite direction making a pseudo +.
AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH! I just want to know for the love of god!
What do you guys think? Is a pseudo + as good as an all the way +? Has this happened to any of you?
In the meantime, my boobs hurt like no other. I'm bloated. And my pelvic region feels like I'm housing a ten pound brick in there.

I love the title of your post!! LOL

A little pregnant?

Now remember that the word pseudo actually means false. So if it is a pseudo positive that means it is a false positive.

Have you read this sticky (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/pregnancy-new-motherhood/do-you-wonder-if-you-pregnant-78870.html) yet?

It might benefit you to do so.

Medically speaking pseudo always means "false" (ie. Pseudo aneurysm, etc.) but pseudo can also mean "almost" or "trying to be". I'm referring to the latter definition.
I've read the sticky. I just want you to tell me that I'm pregnant:):):)
I seriously hate the waiting.

Sorry honey, I wish I could tell you that you are pregnant. But there is no way for me to know as I have not done an in depth history and physical.

Pregnancy is always a waiting game. You wait to find out if you are pregnant, then you wait for the baby to grow, then you wait for delivery, and you wait while you are in labor.

So are you telling me that we can't wrap this puppy up by next week:)
Maybe this is just what I needed to slow me down.

LMAO, I doubt it.

Oh, yeah, pseudo is greek for false. I can't find anywhere where it means maybe or almost. It means false.

I know where this is going. You obviously want to have a dance off.

pseudo - Definitions from Dictionary.com (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=pseudo)

Stop you are both right in your way, but bear in mind medicine is a science were things are Black and White so in this case J_9 IS correct.

You need to go to the doctor and find out. Why? You may say well, you could be sick and there maybe something wrong with the baby. That may hurt you and it. Go to the doctor for your own life sake even if you aren't going to keep it. Least you will know and have a piece of mind!!

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. What?

As for the entire pseudo drama that has had me sitting on the edge of my chair for the last half hour... I bow down to you janine:) you have won this battle.

Hey, I don't want to win any battles. I like to learn. I learned a new one here the other day!! So if it does mean almost, or whatever, I would like to see it so that I can stick it to memory in case it should ever arise again.

I'm NOT always right you know:p

I don't think this is likely to mean you or the baby are sick. I did a clear blue test like that and I got a T so maybe they are rubbish. Get a new one, the ones that just say pregnant or not pregnant. Then go to your docs and have a blood test to be certain.

What was the outcome after the T-incident. Were you pregnant?

No. A blood test said no, although I still actually haven't had a period.

Damn. I thought you were going to give me some hope.
I am totally tired. Like drained. But at peace. And the boobs... they still are killing me.
I totally know I'm pregnant.
I'm going in to the doc's on Monday. I guess we'll see. If they say no, I'll be devastated. I'm convinced I'm pregnant. I just know it. Can't explain it.

Honey, getting your hopes up is not going to help. I knows really hard when its all you want but you can't have it but it will happen in time. X

My pregnancy test had one dark blue horizontal line and one very very light vertical line, and I was pregnant... just 5 weeks... But English Rose is right, getting your hopes up too soon is just going to make them crash harder if it is a negative, think of the stress that will put on your body, and ultimately make it harder to conceive. I think the best thing you can do for the moment is to stop testing for a week and then go and see your doctor. I know its hard when you want to conceive so badly, but really there is nothing you can do. Just go with the flow. Good luck!

I have taken a test before where that happened. At first I thought it was negative. I looked at it a couple hours later and freaked out when it was actually positive.
So, it can happen.
But now - I only buy the test that say "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" So, there is no guessing!

EnglishRose

Yeah, when there is a possibility of any tiny hope, when you want it bad enough you will make it into something it might not have been.

Guess what everyone? My period is late:)
So when they do the blood test on Monday, will I get the results right away or will I be forced to continue to wait?

NowWhat
Apr 6, 2007, 08:24 AM
More than likely you will have to wait:( Sorry.
But, they may also do a urine test. And you will get those right away. I was 7 days late when I went to Dr. with my daughter and they did the urine test. Of course, I had already taken five ( ) at home that had come back positive. Yes, I was crazy and REALLY wanted to be pregnant!

I know how you feel! It is a pain in the butt to wait. Here are some websites to try if you haven't already:

Early Pregnancy Symptoms and TTC Success Stories at TwoWeekWAIT.com (http://www.twoweekwait.com) that is to kill time

PeeOnAStick.com (http://www.peeonastick.com) To research about your pregnancy test.

Have you ever heard of evaporation lines? That's what sometimes causes false positives, although yours sounds like a positive. Wait another week to take another test. Or take one of the digitals that say Pregnant or Not Pregnany. Goodluck

Depending on which blood test you get, and how much lab work they have, whether they have all the equipment they need, or if they have to send it out, etc will determine when you get your results. I got a qualatative test done once, and was able to call and find out the results within 4 hours. Good luck to you, hope you get the good news you want.

I had this blood test done and they said it would be the next day, when I rand the next day they said it would be the day after and then when I rang the 2nd day they said ring at lunch time. I was ready to cry by then but I guess 2 days isn't so bad.

I'm pregnant:)
I was on call at the hospital when I went to my appointment but I thought I'd chance it anyway. I peed in the cup and waited in the room for the doc. A few minutes later, I got paged for an emergency. I walked out of the room and told the doc and nurse that I had to go for an emergency and they looked so confused. The nurse said, "dr. c, could you quickly go in to the room and talk to her then?" the way she said it... I thought surely this is bad news. He asked me when my LMP was and then I started rambling because I was nervous. And then he said "because you're pregnant". I couldn't stop smiling!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I was just about to answer here and tell you that most of the time a woman's instincts can be better than a test.

Well, now that that waiting is over, I guess we now have to wait for the birth.:p

Have you decided if you are going to find out what it is? I know with my 4 I did not want to know, I wanted to be surprised. It was my thought that it is like getting only one gift for Christmas and if I knew what that gift was in August, Christmas would be anticlimactic.

Congratulations to you girl!! :D

You know we are going to want details through out your pregnancy. A new baby is so exciting! It invokes memories of when I was pregnant - great memories. I loved being pregnant. I hope you will too. It is just an amazing feeling.
