I have a pin stamped LYD on the back. I think this is the manufacturers mark, but I cannot seem to find what company it may be. How can I find this out?

LYD doesn't mean anything to me. What is the pin made of, gold, silver, aluminum, whatever. Where did you get if from, an auction, garage sale. A dealer from an estate ????
