I had 5-6 shots 6 1/2 weeks ago. Nothing for 6 weeks prior to that. Just had to take a peth test. Anyone have experience about what the outcome may be?

If a peth test is positive how long will it be until its negative?

I didn't mean to list this 2nd post as an answer. I have 2 questions. I would just like to know anyone's abstinence time with a "passed" PEth test.

6.5 weeks is very little time to be dry in the grand scope of things... but it's a good start..

But if you have actually been dry that long for testing purposes... why the great concern?

I am trying to see if anyone has passed with 6 weeks clean. Everything I have read states 2-3, or 2-4, and I just read one with 4-6 weeks before back to normal level.

... and that has you past that point now. See where I'm geting at?

Yes and I'm hoping you are right. Thank you. It's just so inconsistent and I am a worrier.

You are past the most pessimistic of the ranges given (longer). Better than being just past the most optimistic (shorter). That should offer some peace of mind. Just stay clean, call whoever you need to call before you slip up... you won't have to stress, and you are saving your body from damage that can significantly shorten your life.

Use this fear you had to channel your energy into staying clean, everything you can use to keep you on the right path will make it just that much easier.

Thank you again for you're kind words of encouragement. If you are a spiritual person, please say a prayer for me!

I pray you stay on the path of abstinence, so you don't have to worry about a test result preventing you from getting your life together with good orderly direction.

There is your prayer and the work is up to you. Make it so.

Good Luck.

Glad it worked out and hope you stay on the right path after a good first step.

I agree with Tal, use this scare to stay on the straight and narrow, you are off to a good start.

I appreciate both of you for your kindness. I am planning on using both of your suggestions. I have new found respect for life and feel so lucky that this hasn't impacted my career any more than it has.

Also, it's been very comforting chatting.
