I have removed our kitchen sink to make place for a new kitchen sink
I switched off the hot water feed from the immersion tank in the airing cupboard upstairs and the tap downstairs stopped running but after taking the sink out, the pipe that is left is oozing a very small drip (about 1 drip per second) I'm guessing it's the pressure from the water still in the pipe.
Do I need to empty the tank or will it stop eventually. It's been dripping overnight
Thanks

The valves washer needs to be replaced. You will have to shut the system down to do this or have it done. Get back to us if you want us to walk you through this \. Post a picture of valve if you can.

Shut the water off at the meter or the house shut off. Remove the bonnet packing nut and turn the stamina washer assembly out counterclockwise. Check to see for the nicks and rough spots. If you find any Replace the valve. Replace the washer and reassemble. You shouldn't have to drain the tank. Good luck, Tom
