Suppose there is a game where you spin a prize wheel. The prize wheel is divided into 10 segments. One segment awards an additional 5 spins. If the player pays to spin the wheel 5 times initially, how many times will the player spin the wheel on average (including extra spins awarded)

meera - show us your attempt at solving this and we'll help where you get stuck. But please clarify something - is the player allowed to bankroll his additional spins? In other words if the player hits the additional 5 spins award four times in a row has he built up a bank roll of 20 free spins?

Initially the player gets 5 spins. If he gets additional spins, he can continue spinning the wheel until all the additional spins get elapsed.

For the question: Yes. If the player hits the additional 5 spins award four times in a row has he built up a bank roll of 20 free spins.

Please let me know the expected number of spins he can do with this logic.
