OK... if you don't know about birth control.. its time you learned. Understand no form of birth control is 100% effective, and Pulling out is NOT a form of birth control.

With that part said... your period might be late for a number of reasons.. it doesn't take much to delay it 5 days or more. Stress, worrying about a pregnancy, illness and sometimes it just happens are a few. Its still too soon to test for a pregnancy. You need to wait until your are 14 days late. WHen you take one, you take it right after you wake up in the moring , the first time you pee that morning. And read it after the niminum amount of time explained on the test... but before the maximum time.

If you forget and use the bathroom before you remember, you have to wait until the next morning.

The reason for a 14 day wait is tests taken before then are far more likely to give a false negative. And the entire point of taking the test is knowing if you are or aren't. With that part said... even if you test negative... its still possible to be pregnant because a few women will test negative into their second trimester.

I don't really think I'm pregnant but since the time I've lost my virginity we've had sex6 times includincluding on the 27 when I was supposed to start my period. We only used a condom the first time though.

Depending on when you ovulate, your chances are pretty high that you are pregnant. The first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period.

You can get pregnant the first time you have sex... many do. If your are actually trying to have a baby, its also possible you might try for a long time before it happens. It almost seems like the MORE you want a baby... the more difficult it is... and the less you want one... the easier it happens. Thought medically thats not exactly true. Its all about the conditions being correct that increase or decrease the odds.

I can name two women who are members here that got pregnant while using 3 forms of birth control... one of the an Obstetrics Nurse had it happen twice. I'll leave it to them to announce themselves if they wish.

Why would you think, you are not pregnant. You are having frequent sex. Most times without protection. But even with condoms, they have a failure rate of 3 to 18 percent.

You will have to wait, till you are at least 14 days late, and try a pregnancy test. Use first urine of the morning

If you are normally pretty regular with your periods, I would take a test this weekend. The test is not complicated, but be sure to follow the directions carefully.

If you get a negative result, and still no period in several more days, try another test. Sometimes you can buy a two pack test. Obviously if it is positive you will want to begin seeing an obstetrician or midwife from the start.

Given the lack of birth control, I am guessing that you are trying to become pregnant. Be aware that if you are fairly young, a pregnancy can have increased health concerns for you and a baby. If nothing else you would need to be careful about making healthy choices in all aspects of your life.

Sadly you had unprotected sex, so pregnancy is a definite possibility.

Wait until your period is at least 2 weeks late, then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period. If you miss it, test again or get a blood test.

No form of birth control is 100%. There are women on this site, and all over the world, that used 2 or more forms of birth control, and still got pregnant. Some more than once.

You had unprotected sex, so your odds are greater.

If you dodge the bullet this time, learn from this. Unless you're trying to get pregnant, in which case you just continue what you're doing and it will happen soon, if it hasn't already.

Good luck.
