I drank on Thursday 5 vodka drinks, a beer, and two shots and 1 jello shot. I weigh 130lbs and 5'1" I don't really drink a lot anymore due to my troubles but I had a moment of weakness with some friends. We are all human. Anyway I have random drug screens and of course I had to do one on Saturday I didn't have a single drink and drank water all day on Friday but did not urinate a lot on Friday. I continued to 2 bottles of water before my test on Saturday and had a cup of coffee before peeing. I am just wondering if I will pass my test the type of test I take is a 9 panel test plus Alcohol. Anyone have any insight on this?

Thank you!

Nope, you are going to fail... but then you knew you were prohibited from consumption of alcohol. Sorry excuses aren't a free pass. We all don't feel the need to go off on a bender. I'm human and I don't. First rule is to accept full responsibility for your own actions and don't try to rationalize or deflect the blame on anything else. Once you can do that THEN you will be doing what you need to do, and a path to recovery.

Wow that was rather RUDE... my answer was factual and to the point. You have done everything but own up to your own responsibility...and you said as much, like everyone who has an addiction problem does, you won't even begin to address your problem until you can do that.

You had 2 days and it wasn't even a full 48 hours...after consuming a LOT of alcohol before the test.....your chances of passing are practically zero. Will someone saying sure...don't sweat it change the lab results? Nope....

You do not know me or my situation. I have completed a drug/alcohol program go to AA like I said I had a moment of weakness and for the past day and a half have beaten myself up about it. I have friends that have been in the same predicament as me and have passed their test but I know everyone is different. What done is done now but it would be nice to have people that have been through this.

Are the drug screens for general work place rules (everyone is subject to testing) or are you on a type of probation through the court system or problems at work? In other words, are you allowed to have alcohol in your system or are you supposed to be totally clean? It will affect the cut-off levels for the test and pass/fail.

We can't give a definite pass with the time period being less than 48 hours. Looking at the amount of alcohol you consumed (giving you the best odds I can with assuming each drink contained only one ounce of vodka, the beer was a standard 12 ounce and the shots were straight one ounce each), it will be very close if you do pass. You probably are looking at a fail. Hopefully not for dilution.

You may not like what smoothy said or how he said it, but he is correct about taking responsibility. It doesn't mean beating yourself up about the mistake. It does mean looking at why it happened and finding better ways to handle the situation.

If it makes you happy to believe that. Fact is I have two ex-girlfriends buried in the ground due to people who did not take ownership of their problem. And most everyone I know has a friend or relative in the ground for the same reason.

AA exists for that reason... you should have called someone before you took that first one to talk you out of it That's a responsibility that fell on your shoulders. If you've been through AA like you said... you would know this. THats what support groups do....help you stay on the wagon and do the right thing.

Let's put it this way...if you pass, you should also play the lottery because you are incredibly lucky.

Was this an ETG test, or as you said, a "standard" 9 panel + alcohol? If they are not testing for ETG, I actually think your chances of passing - barring a dilute - is pretty good... the alcohol itself, should be out of your urine in about 18 - 24 hours, depending upon BAC level & time of last drink... the metabolites they test for with an ETG test would be an entirely different ballgame.

... but I'm not as experienced as the other posters here

I agree with Luck. A "9 panel+alcohol " does not check ETG, just for alcohol. If you did not drink within 24 hours of the test, you are golden.
